Fonseca Comments on “Pawpa” Mena’s Visa Memo

And since the P.U.P. is on the subject of visas and a visa scam, Fonseca is also taking a hard look at the U.D.P. Dangriga candidate, Frank “Pawpa” Mena. Just like Minister of State Edmond Castro, Mena’s name is on a document which states that he personally facilitated visas for Chinese nationals. The P.U.P. leader also called on the PM to take a stance against Mena.

“Very, very damning memorandum indeed and in fact that memorandum forms a part of the public court record in the Supreme Court that was tabled as evidence in court against Mister Castro. Again, the individual running here in Dangriga for the United Democratic Party named in that memorandum as someone who is requesting of Elvin Penner to facilitate visas for Chinese nationals, who he clearly does not know. These things are against the law, against the law; signing and recommending individuals that you do not know. Nationals, Chinese nationals, who do not live in Belize and who you do not know for visas. Again a damning indictment on Mister Barrow’s government.”
