American sex offender gets fined for assault

A three-time sex offender from Bloomington Illinois was today fined two thousand dollars in Magistrate’s Court after he pleaded guilty to Aggravated Assault upon a Belizean hotel employee. Sixty two year old Gerald Waterman, who has been convicted three times in the US for sex related offences, committed his last act on Wednesday while staying at a local hotel. Today, Magistrate Tracey Sosa, fined Waterman two thousand dollars, which he promptly paid and he was allowed to go. Bloomington had been staying at the hotel since Tuesday of this week, but he was evicted when the employee reported to his supervisor that Waterman had made a sexual advance on him. It is not clear whether Waterman has left the country as yet but the hotel told News Five this evening that he returned to pick up his belongings.
