‘Papa’ Mena Sworn-in As Junior Minister of National Security
Newly-elected Dangriga Area Representative Frank ‘Papa’ Mena was sworn in as Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security this morning in Belmopan. The installation took place before Governor General Sir Colville Young at the Belize House where a small gathering of family and friends was on hand to witness the formalities. Mena’s official Oath of Office as a Member of the House of Representatives will be administered at the next sitting. The erstwhile United Democratic Party mayor gained a decisive victory over his political opponents at the end of Wednesday’s bye-election with a convincing margin upwards of six hundred votes. Footage of the swearing-in ceremony was provided to us by the Government Press Office.
{Swearing In Ceremony…}

I can’t understand how the crime rate in the jewel is so high and yet it’s business as usual for Belizeans.No one seems to care about all these murders unless it’s their family members that are affected.Where are the Churches?All they’re worried about is the next Church service to receive tithes.The head of these churches these days are no different than the politicians.Lovers of themselves and Money.
