I.D.B. to Assist Cane Farmers with Technical Support

And in other news from the sugar industry, McLachlan told the media today that the IDB will be funding a project that will assist cane farmers with technical support.

“I am delighted this week the IDB Board approved a technical support project to the industry which is fantastic news and this is to provide dedicated extension service for farmers, to provide technical assistance and support for these farmers and it will be supporting through these efforts.  So, we are really, really pleased for that and it now remains for us to put all the implementation details in place. It’s really excellent news for the industry and it demonstrates not only do we as industry stakeholders have faith in this industry and so do other people too.”
