Easy Glen in Court on Assault Charge

Goldburn Adolphus

Well-known political mouthpiece Easy Glen, formally known as Goldburn Adolphus, was arraigned today before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith for attempting to assault a police officer with an empty bottle.  During his indictment however, Adolphus suffered an epileptic fit, falling to the ground and hitting his head so hard his dentures popped out of his mouth.  While officers inside the courtroom rushed to Adolphus’ aid as he writhed through waves of spasm, additional help was summoned.  A nine-one-one dispatcher also gave instructions via phone on safety measures to prevent Adolphus from further injury.  Shortly before four o’clock this evening, a BERT ambulance responded to Magistrate Court Number One where he was rushed to the K.H.M.H. for medical treatment.  Earlier during his arraignment, Easy Glen pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated assault after attacking Corporal Noel Muschamp with a bottle.  In a statement from the officer, he reported that on July twenty-fourth while walking on Partridge Street Extension with a woman, he was approached by Easy Glen.  The men then got into a verbal spat because Muschamp had arrested Adolphus the day before.  Adolphus then advanced towards Muschamp with the bottle, prompting him to file a report against Adolphus.  In court, he took the opportunity to apologize to the officer whom he knows very well.  Easy Glen will be sentenced on Monday.
