Holiday Hotel Celebrates Fifty Years of Service on La Isla Bonita

Over the weekend, the Belize Tourism Board held its annual tourism awards in San Pedro. The event honored hotels and resorts, as well as individuals who have excelled within the industry. But the event was also used to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of tourism in Belize, specifically San Pedro where the first hotel, the Holiday Hotel was built. Owner, Celi McCorkle, was honored as the pioneer in the industry.
