Technical College to hold reunion
It is probably one of the biggest reunions ever planned–all past students of the former Belize Technical College. They will converge in Belize, beginning May eighteenth for a week of activities. Members of the planning committee, Darlene Gentle and Josephine Flowers, urge all alumni who have not yet signed up for the reunion to do so.

?We are expecting a huge crowd. We have gotten responses from as far as England and Taiwan, from Canada and the United States, all over. The reunion is going to be May eighteenth to the twenty-fifth, so the Wednesday night we start with the social at Bird?s Isle, Thursday we planned a breakfast out here at this campus. From there we will take the crowd to the U.B. campus in Belmopan to give them a tour and do different things. We have river activities, cave tubing and different things planned as well for Friday. Saturday we have also activities during the course of the day and then we have our big dance at the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel. Then on Sunday we have an Ecumenical service at Wesley Church in the morning, in the afternoon we?re going to do like a symposium of past graduates coming together speaking about different issues that affect Belize. And then on Monday we finish up with some other activities at different tourist destinations within the country. So it?s not only for those people coming from abroad, but other Belizeans who want to participate in the week of activities for the reunion, they can come and join the whole crowd.?

?So far we have had a lot of response from abroad, but most people here say that they haven?t heard about it, so we are taking this opportunity to inform them and tell them that they can contact either Jocelyn McKoy at B.T.B., myself at St. Michael?s College, or Mr. Llewellyn Moguel, he is also a part of our planning committee. So any of them–I am the most available one, so they can definitely contact me. We have forms, we will send the form wherever you are so you don?t have to be afraid. And it?s not everything that they must attend, you must choose. We are trying to see if we can get them by groups to choose the activity that they want to do. But the Thursday night when we are here, that?s the night we going to have to most fun because we are going to see the ones who still think that they have their athletic abilities.?
