City burglars caught in Dangriga

Story PictureIt was a busy weekend for police in Dangriga as they collaborated with their Belize City counterparts to nab five more suspects in connection with last week’s burglary of Brad’s store on Vernon Street. Aldorae Flowers, Edwin Flowers, Joseph Conorque, Lawrence Longsworth, and Brian Smith, all twenty-two, and a fifteen-year-old boy were marched to Belize City Magistrate’s Court this afternoon. They have all been charged for the crime of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary. Conorque and the minor were additionally charged for the crime of aggravated burglary. When cops collared the five suspects in Dangriga, they recovered nineteen hundred U.S. dollars and fifteen hundred Belize dollars in the vehicle they were travelling. Police say they are looking for one other person who is believed to have also been involved in the incident. Last Tuesday night, the proprietor of Brad’s Store, Kim Chee, was tied up and robbed of thirty thousand dollars he kept in a small chest.
