MusAID Hosts Concert at the Bliss

As a culmination to a two-week workshop done through MusAid and The National Youth Orchestra, a huge concert will take place tonight at the Bliss at seven. It will feature a number of performers, both local talents and visiting accomplished musicians from abroad. We spoke with one of the coordinators.

“The concert will be very exciting. It will have three different parts. The local steel pan group, I believe it is called Pandemonium, is going to start off with a bang and we will have a short section featuring the MUSAID fellows that have come. So these are the guest teachers from all over the United States and Canada who have come to teach this week and will be performing a few pieces. It is going to end with the Youth Orchestra and they are going to be playing some pieces that are local Belizean tunes and then we are ending the entire program with a completely new piece that the students and teachers together have composed this week. So, it is the first time that the piece is ever been heard and we are all very excited to share it with everyone.”
