Cop shot by accident as he cleans gun
Details are in short supply tonight but News 5 has confirmed that late this evening a policeman was the victim of a shooting incident in Belize City. According to sources in the police department, Constable Edgar Pech, attached to the Crimes Investigations Branch was at home around five this evening, cleaning his service revolver when it accidentally went off. Pech was hit in the hand and foot and taken to the Karl Heunser Memorial hospital for treatment.
