Teen Charged for Sexual Assault of Minor

An eighteen year old student, Daniel Bradley, was back before the court today. In June he was accused of sexually abusing a fourteen year old girl, and today he was brought back for a similar offense. He appeared before Magistrate Ladonna John and was charged for one count of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with another girl, who is fourteen years and four months of age. The offence is said to have occurred between May first and May thirty-first, 2015. In court, Bradley was told by the Magistrate that she will not be taking a plea since it’s an indictable offense. When the issue of bail came out, attorney Ellis Arnold brought it to the court’s attention that Bradley was granted Supreme Court bail in mid-June by Judge Troadio Gonzalez. For this second sexual offense, Bradley was allowed to leave the court and is due back in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court until October 2015.
So, let me get this right; he’s eighteen years old, no credible determination that he’s mentally challenged, and this is his second charge in a few months of basically what is classified as RAPE. Why is he getting bail or is it only me who views this young man as a potential t be a hard core criminal at an early age?
