City Man Charged for Jacking St. Joseph Parish
Eighteen year old Jayear Flores of a Curassow Street appeared in court this morning and was charged for robbery. The charge stems from the robbery of a laptop bag containing two thousand one hundred dollars in cash, cheques and two deposit books from retired teacher, Eric Neal, an employee of the Saint Joseph Parish. This morning, Flores appeared before Magistrate Ladonna John and was read a single charge of robbery. Flores pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted him bail in the sum of three thousand dollars. The incident happened on Monday morning when Neal was to make a deposit for the parish. As he was about to head to the bank he was approached by a man wearing a cap dressed in a white shirt and camouflage pants. The assailant grabbed the laptop bag from him and fled the area. According to Neal, the two of them got into a struggle but his attacker made off with the bag. Flores is due back in court on October twenty-seventh, 2015.
