Two Charged for Handling Stolen Goods
A room being rented in the city by Harold Perriott was burglarized last week Thursday. This week, two men were charged with the offense of handling stolen goods; one took the rap, while the other pleaded not guilty to two separate charges of Handling Stolen Goods. The first to be arraigned was Egbert Ferguson. Allegations are that on August twenty-second, he was found in possession of a pair of tennis belonging to Perriott. He pleaded not guilty, but remains behind bars since he was unable to meet bail. Errol Lynch, a fisherman, was arraigned on Wednesday; he wasted no time and pleaded guilty to the single charge of handling stolen goods. Lynch was found at his Zacaranda Street house with a flat screen television belonging to Perriott. He was fined three hundred dollars which he was ordered to pay by September thirtieth.
