Two charged in Kraal Road shooting
Police in Belize City have arrested and charged two suspects following a shooting on Tuesday night, which injured two people. Seventeen-year-old Deon Williams has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of the use of deadly means of harm, and one count each of wounding and causing grievous harm. Police believe that Williams was the triggerman in the Tuesday night shooting that injured sixty-seven-year-old Marie Olivera inside her house in the Kraal Road/Fabers Road neighbourhood and twenty-two-year-old Dwayne Saldano who was riding his bicycle in the area. Police have arrested and charged twenty-eight-year-old Trevor Trapp after a search of his home turned up a .38 revolver which is believed to be the weapon used in the Kraal Road incident. Trapp has been charged with the crime of keeping an unlicensed firearm.
