Uncle and Nephew Arraigned on Aggravated Assault Charges

Raymond Dominguez

Today, a pair of relatives was arraigned for a shooting at the house of Brian Davis, a Sand hill resident, on Monday, September fourteenth, 2015.  A youth, who turns eighteen on October first, along with his uncle, twenty-nine year old Raymond Dominguez were taken to court before Magistrate Ladonna John and jointly charged with Aggravated Assault upon Davis. Both were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until November sixteenth 2015.  The minor was remanded to the Belize Wagner’s Facility while his uncle was remanded to prison where Lenford Harris is also on remand for the same incident.  Davis reported to police that on about midnight, he heard a noise and when he exited his house, he saw Harris and three other men standing in his yard armed with firearms. Harris, he says, pointed a firearm at him; he ran into his house and a hail of bullets was unleashed damaging the door of his house.  Police say that their initial investigation has revealed that the incident shooting sparked from a misunderstanding Davis allegedly had with the group over a bicycle. A fourth suspect is being sought.
