Kafele Garcia Arraigned for Weekend Murder of Lord’s Bank Resident
Today, a teenager was arraigned for the weekend murder of Ervin Franklin, who lost his life in a weekend stabbing in the Lord’s Bank area on the Phillip Goldson Highway. After five days of investigations, police levied a single charge of murder against nineteen year old Kafele Garcia. He was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith for the October tenth, 2015 murder of Franklin, who was fatally stabbed during what police say could have been a robbery or due to jealousy over a female. The results of a post mortem examination indicate that Franklin died due to external bleeding caused by multiple stab wounds. No bail was granted and Garcia was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until November sixteen, 2015.
