Francis Fonseca Says P.U.P. Will Hit the Ground Running

Francis Fonseca

If the P.U.P. is successful on November fourth, in addition to the manifesto promises there are a number of hot-button issues which remain unresolved. There is the request for salary increases by the Faculty and Staff of the University of Belize, the situation involving First Caribbean International Bank employees who have not tied up their exit packages. So how does the party plans to tackle the unions’ demands? Fonseca says all issues would be resolved in a matter of weeks, if a P.U.P. administration is elected.

Francis Fonseca, P.U.P. Leader

“We will hit the ground running; we understand the issues, we have been engaged with these issues, the parties involved with these issues have been in consultation with us already so we understand their concerns and it is clear to us that with a new P.U.P. government that they will be prepared to sit with us around the table and we are absolutely confident that we will be able to resolve all these matters within a matter of weeks of forming the government.”
