Does that Campaign Include Handing Out Goods Confiscated by Customs?

Since we had the opportunity, we also asked the aspiring U.D.P. area representative about one of her campaign vehicles caught on camera loading up goods at the Customs Department in Orange Walk Town. That building is where Customs personnel store contraband goods confiscated. In the photos you will see it appears that those goods are being loaded into the pickup.  Here is what she had to say.

Lupe Magaña-Dyck, U.D.P. Candidate, Orange Walk South

“My vehicle?”

Mike Rudon

“A red pickup….”

“I, I, I…well what can I say? Red pickup? My husband has a red pickup, my other family members have a red pickup…I wouldn’t know exactly what you are saying or which vehicle. I would have to see the pictures.”

Mike Rudon

“This is a red pickup which is being used in your campaign.”

Lupe Magaña-Dyck

“In my campaign?”

Mike Rudon

“Yes. It was loading up with goods at the Customs Department.”

Lupe Magaña-Dyck

“I would comment until I see the picture.”

Mike Rudon

“So you wouldn’t know why that vehicle would be there loading up with goods from the Customs Department?”

Lupe Magaña-Dyck

“I will comment until I see the pictures sir. Then I can really give you a better view of what it is.”

Is it a problem if confiscated items are put to good use? Why is she so sketchy in her responses?

I think it is a good idea to use these items to help the helpless and the needy.

  2. Campain says:

i don’t get it? enlighten me, is that a bad thing to give away stuff that is just there? was that before the flood? if it is not suppose to happen then ok i see but if it is to give to people in need is it a bad thing?
