Convoy Carrying Ballot Papers Raises Concerns in the West

Today, the social media was all abuzz after an informal information blog posted pictures of a convoy of vehicles passing through San Ignacio at high speed. There was some concern expressed in that blog because the vehicles, including two large vans, were allegedly coming from the Arenal/Belize border. Well tonight News Five can confirm that the vehicles were not coming from the border, and there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about. The convoy, escorted by Police, was carrying the ballot papers which will be used in the 2015 general elections, and which are printed in Benque Viejo Del Carmen. Those ballots were brought into Belize City where they will be kept under heavy guard for the next week.

Yeah, because some of the boxes already have X marked on it. This is something that should be guarded also by the 3 parties involved. Hope there won’t be power outage.
