Milt plays big for Raptors
While Belizeans at home and abroad have been focussed on events in the streets and around the negotiating table we have not failed to notice the achievements of our favourite NBA player. Last night was a big one for Belize’s Milt Palacio. the backup guard who has started the last two games for the Toronto Raptors owing to the two game suspension of Rafer Alston. Palacio played a career high forty-six minutes in the game against the Indiana Pacers–more than any man on the court–and scored a respectable thirteen points. Milt was four for five from the floor including a three pointer, four for four from the foul line, while also managing a game high seven assists and nine defensive rebounds. And to make things even sweeter, the Raptors won the game, coming back from a nineteen-point deficit to edge the Pacers in Indiana on two free throws by Jalen Rose with less than a second on the clock.
