Ceremonial Sitting of House of Representatives Set for Friday
The first sitting the Cabinet took place today in Belmopan; there are twelve full ministers and seven ministers of state who sat around the table. We do not have any confirmation on what was discussed at this morning’s session, but we can say that government has announced that the first ceremonial sittings of the House and Senate take place this Friday. The format is that the senate will meet at nine in the morning in the national assembly chamber. This will be followed by the first sitting of the House with the senators in attendance on the grounds of the national assembly at ten. The three-term Prime Minister Dean Barrow will be laying the work of the new government for the term ahead.
