Angela Bennett Receives Keys to a New Home
A mother of three is the recipient of a new home that was erected over the weekend by Hand in Hand Ministries and Belize Electricity Limited. Angela Bennett, a resident of Police Street, was presented with the keys to a new abode this morning during a brief handing over ceremony. The sixteen by sixteen wooden structure is complete with electrical installations and plumbing facilities. News Five spoke with Bennett about owning a new home.

“I really glad for the help, it’s a big, big blessing for me and my kids because I really wanted a new home. I really needed a new home and finally I get it now.”

“So ma’am, talk to us about assisting in building this house. What was that like?”
Angela Bennett
“Well I helped to… I helped to nail, back board, I helped to mix and back cement and it was great. I enjoyed it.”

“Certainly it must give you that sense of pride that you helped to build your new home.”
Angela Bennett
“Yes sir.”

“Did you have to go through any process of applying to be approved for this home or was it that they just surprised you with a gift?”
Angela Bennett
“Well I went and I applied because I didn’t have the finance to renovate my house and I went and I applied and I went through five steps and thanks to God that I worked it out good.”
