Whose Office is it—Gapi’s or Godwin’s?
And from agriculture to straight politics…Minister of Agriculture Gaspar Vega and Minister of Natural Resources Godwin Hulse have been at loggerheads since elections, over office space. Vega is a senior Minister, a major player in the UDP and he wasn’t letting go of his office at the Natural Resources building, which also houses agriculture. Hulse isn’t a senior Minister, just a Senator with a few years under his belt, so the end of that battle was inevitable. We’re reliably informed that Hulse has been forced to use the space previously used by then Minister of State Hugo Patt, while Vega has held on to his office. Today we asked Vega about the very funny ego war.
Gaspar Vega, Minister of Agriculture
“We do not have a problem with office. All I need to get is an office, wherever it is. If you can get me one in your place I move there.”

“I understand that the decision has been made and he has moved to Minister Patt’s office. Is that so?”
Gaspar Vega
“I think it’s not to Minister Patt’s office. We’re working together until we can settle down. Like I said before it’s not only with offices, even with staff. You have to remember that I had one ministry, Agriculture and Lands, as people call it. and we had one FO, one AO, one of everything, and we had to settle beause there is a big mix between staff and ministries, so it’s not an overnight fix, but we’re working on it.”
