Suspect arrested in Gas Station heist
A different kind of hold-up at another gas station has led to one man’s arrest for robbery. According to authorities, around nine on January seventh, a Texaco gas station attendant reported that while at the BelChina bridge facility, a yellow Crown Victoria car drove up and ordered ten dollars worth of gas. But just as he put the nozzle in the tank, the seventeen year old employee says a passenger in the car got out, put a gun to his side and told him to fill the tank. The gunman then robbed the attendant of five hundred and twenty-five dollars in cash. Leaving a fifty-one dollar and forty-five cent charge on the pump, both men then drove away from the scene. Armed with a description of the car and its occupants, police later arrested Brian Welch. Welch has since been charged by police with robbery.
