Sugar Crop Scheduled to Begin on December Seventh
The C.E.O. also provides an update in respect of sugar industry. A new crop season begins this Monday.

“As they said last week Sunday when the DPM met with farmers is that the crop is suppose to start on Monday and what has changed now with the coming into effect of this price increase. The initial can price estimate has to be revised and that we expect that BSO would do now. In addition to that we have the issue of roads as was discussed but there are assessment being done and plans to start to repair the cane road.”
