Masked assailant kills man inside home

Earlier Sunday night another Belize City resident was murdered. But in this case the victim was inside his home when he was shot. Twenty-eight year old Barrington Gentle had a tumultuous relationship with his girlfriend but they had moved in together in January on Courtenay Crescent in an area behind the Berger Field. According to Police Press Officer Clement Palacio, the cops have not yet established a motive for this heinous crime.

“On Sunday police responded on information received of a shooting incident at number 3232 Courtenay Crescent where they found one Barrington Gentle with gunshot wounds to the head. Initial investigations reveal that Gentle was at his home with his girlfriend when shots were fired and when police arrive they found the body and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

I tell ah I gwein da karaoke and ih tell me mek I go through and do weh I want and he wah deh right yah so when time I come. Dah me, my sista and my cousin dehn mi gwein dah di karaoke and so. When he walk from di entrance way and gwein towards the refridge and wah masked man run up di step and see fi he back turn to the refridge and just shot ah inna ih head. But I inna my room di comb my hair so when I hear di first shot gone off I only could ah mi jump pan di ground and gone underneath my bed. When I hear di shot dehn done I come out and I si di refridge get shot and di door mi di lean off and when time I look again I si he pan di ground and hear no kinda talking or anything from ah. I holla B, B and den I run back inna my room and holla fi my ma fi help and ting.”
