RED Cops Meet and Greet in Neighborhood Chapel
Ladyville police took time off the streets briefly on Sunday and instead turned up mass this weekend at Our Lady of the Way Roman Catholic Church. Officers attached to that Rural Eastern Division branch made acquaintances with fellow churchgoers as part of the ongoing Meet and Greet initiative. Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster says that the idea of introducing themselves to members of that community was an overall success.
Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“We had our meet and greet yesterday at Our Lady of the Way Roman Catholic Church in Ladyville where we met with the parishioners and spoke of our ideas of better servicing and trying to develop model professional policing in the Rural Eastern Division. That’s something that we are striving for. We are looking at standards where we would have an external agency come in and certify us at some point in time. So we are looking at the policies and some of the criteria that we have to meet. And we are going to try and meet those criteria and try to get our division certified as the model professional policing.”
Insp. Juanito Cocom, O.C., Ladyville Police
“Simultaneously, the Hattieville Formation held its church service at Mahogany Heights Anglican Church, simultaneously, at the same time.”
