Domestic Altercation Ends in Injuries and Charges

A domestic dispute between a woman and her ex-common-law husband did not end well for both. The man was pepper sprayed and cut with a knife, while the woman is facing criminal charges for wounding him. Thirty-two year old Suzan Castellanos of Magazine Road, Belize City is accused of pepper spraying Martin Bahadur and injuring him on his finger with a knife on Sunday.  According to police, Bahadur felt Castellanos’ wrath when he went to visit the daughter he shares with her.  In court, Castellanos was unrepresented and she pleaded not guilty to both charges.  Since there was no objection, Magistrate Deborah Rogers granted her bail in the sum of seven hundred dollars.  Castellanos is due back in Court on April eighth, 2016.
