Woman Arraigned for Stealing Doctor’s Purse
Tonight, the mother of a new born is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after she was accused of stealing a wallet containing cash and personal items from a doctor on duty at the Emergency Section at the K.H.M.H. The theft was caught on surveillance camera last Wednesday and it led police the residence of Margarita Pech Noralez on Amara Avenue. Margarita was arraigned this morning before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser, denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February twenty-second 2016, when she is to re-appear again on another criminal matter. The wallet contained sixty dollars in cash along with some personal items belonging to Doctor Martha Habet. Margarita begged the court to grant her bail saying she has a young baby to care for, but bail was denied. Habet reported to police that while working at the Emergency Room, she left her bag with her wallet in the staff room and when she returned from doing duties, it was gone.

Sorry… that ain’t no woman in that picture. Just saying.
