Accused burglar arrested & charged

In crime news police have charged a Belize City man with burglary and handling stolen property. Forty-two year old Joseph Bevans is accused of stealing a computer and accessories from the offices of the Wesley Healing Centre on Albert Street in Belize City. A doctor working at the facility reported the equipment missing and told police that the burglary took place sometime between five o’clock on Thursday evening and the following morning. Police investigations led to the arrest of Bevans and recovery of the missing items. Bevans is also accused of trying to enter the office of the Wesley Credit Union, which is located in the same building, and for that, effort has additionally been charged with the crime of attempted burglary.
