Dancehall artist performs Saturday

He goes by the name Lexxus and fancies himself a ladies man. And this weekend, dance hall music lovers will get to see him live on stage in Belize. The high energy Jamaican performer touched down this afternoon for a one night only performance on Saturday at Bird’s Isle.

?What up. Yeah what up, thanks for having me in Belize. You done know this is Lexxus, Kingston?s finest. Well the performance tomorrow night, is going to be at Bird?s Isle check it out; it?s Island Fest courtesy of DJ Bush. And you know we come here to have a good time. I?m having a good time so far. I?ve only been here for a couple hours now, meet a few girls and I?m here at the Pit. I?m getting me a steam fish, traditional Jamaican steam fish.?

?I like it here in Belize. I have always wanted to come here because I have a very big Belizean fan base in L.A. And I have always wanted to come to their country, and I?m here now, and I?m just going to live it to the fullest.?

?My music is not violent music, my music is fun and I take serious issues and make them into fun so that you can listen and smile, you know. I mostly sing for the girls too, you know, I?m the ladies man. My songs are for the ladies and ladies once you come out trust me, you are going to enjoy the performance. I got it in store for you. Dah crazy thing the come up tomorrow man.?

The curtain rises at nine pm and the concert will also feature performances by local artists including the Alliance Crew, Heights of Vibes, Hot Wire and Easy B. Admission is thirty dollars in advance, forty dollars at the gate.
