Faber’s Love Affair with the People of Collet

Faber didn’t comment on the obsession, but he did take time to revisit the now infamous Petrocaribe-funded pibil and barbecue fest in Corozal. The young Minister has taken flak for using Petrocaribe monies to fund a party trip for Collet residents in Corozal. But as he pointed out in the House today, he’s still sitting on the government side, and his love affair with the people of Collet is still going strong.

“You know what really bothers me, when these on the other side get up. I think the prime minister outlined the amount that was spent in that flood. You hear them criticize the Prime Minister about that one point nine million dollars. I heard the Leader of the Opposition repeat the ridiculous talk about flat-screen TV and a whole lot of nonsense. Why do you continue to spew nonsense? Where is any evidence that any flat-screen TVs were bought after that flood? Nonsense. He talk about pibil and so on; yo woulda think pibil dah caviar. Yo dah think dah something grand. And I warn you about criticizing barbecue and pibil; it did not work for you. it did not diminish my margin in the Collet Division; in fact, it increased the margin. And no matter what kind of nonsense unu talk on that other side, the people of Collet are in love with the Patrick Faber and Patrick Faber is in love with the people of Collet. You cannot come between that. And if I could put in a plug for my campaign…the people of the U.D.P. are in love with Patrick Faber and Patrick Faber is in love with the people of Collet.”
