    Children indeed should have a curfew to firstly, protect their personal selves from outside dangers or for the better reason, of preventing them from bad decisions. Curfews should definitely be implemented for the good intent of protecting our Belizean children and at the same time, ensuring that parents are partaking in their lives.

    There was a curfew for kids years ago (check the archives) in response to rising crime and it just petered out. This one will too. the youth committing crimes have absent or negligent parents to begin with, or are livng with elderly relatives who cannot control them. A curfew at night will help, but what about all the daylight crime? Look over the past few weeks to see how many shootings in broad daylight., A curfew is just a bandaid for deeper issues….unless the gang culture is somehow eradicated and the youths redirected to more productive activities the gang terrorism in Belize will continue unabated in its usual cycles of multiple murders then nothing, murders then nothing, etc, etc,
