Magician performs to help kids

This weekend the Institute of Creative Arts invites the public to a show that we don’t often see in Belize. On Saturday master illusionist and hypnotist James Kellogg Jr plans to dazzle you with some of his magical tricks with the hope that by the end of the show he would have raised enough money to help the Children of Belize. News 5 caught up with the magician and show organiser at the Dorothy Menzies Child Care Centre.

?Our goal and aims are to help the children in the Central American countries. Right now, the projects that we are working on are with the Dorothy Menzies. We also worked with King?s Children Home in Belmopan. So right now I?d say our main focus is in Belize.?

?This weekend will be a lot of fun. I have the two o?clock show at the Belize Institute. It?s magic only and it?s a good family entertainment. So just bring the kids and the whole family. It?s almost going to be an hour of magic. I will have Dove and silks and all kinds of different apprises. There will be a lot of comedy and a lot of fun. In the night there will also be magician and a hypnotists show. I am also a hypnotist. There is always a lot of fun.?

Kellogg said he started doing magic from the age of nine. On Saturday, there will be two shows. The one for children gets underway at two in the afternoon while the adult version is scheduled for seven that evening. Tickets for the children’s show are fifteen dollars for kids and twenty dollars for adults while tickets for the adult show will be sold at thirty dollars. The venue is the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts.
