Leon Gordon Killed While Parting Fight

It won’t get as much attention as the weekend’s bloodshed and sensational murder of a notorious gang figure, but there was another killing on the island of Caye Caulker. It happened just after eight on Sunday night at the Sip and Dip Bar located on Avenida Hicaco, where police say Leon Gordon was fatally stabbed in the abdomen. According to preliminary investigations, Gordon was allegedly trying to part a fight between two other men, Austin Gabourel and Jeremy Rhaburn when another man identified only as Robert stabbed him. Gordon was transported to the Caye Caulker Clinic and then to the K.H.M.H., where he died at around two forty-five. Police have managed to locate Austin Gabourel, who was observed with cut wounds, treated and detained. Another man is also currently in police custody pending investigation.
“Won’t get as much attention as notorious gang figures” Seriously? I suggest we stop paying so much attention to criminals and thugs, and take a moment to celebrate the lives of people who try or tried to make Belize an even better place.
This man was being a good Samaritan, so for the life of me, why wouldn’t he be headline news.? That gang member chose his life path. He could have been a great person, but then again he infected hurt to others as well. I know many will disagree with me ,and that’s fine with me. This young man was doing his civil duty , so he’s a hero. Just hope the person that killed him will have his day in court and give his family justice.So shame on you for your headline.
SHAME!!!!! GOOD PEOPLE DIE AND EXPECT THEM NOT TO GET ATTENTION, we no one to judge but we all will pay sometime, sooner or later but will do so.
