Kenny Morgan wins comedy competition

Kenny Morgan is the reigning King of Comedy in Belize. He swept in two categories and scooping up two thousand dollars in prize money at the George McKeasy National Story Telling and Comedy Championship Friday night. Morgan won first prize in both the storytelling and comedy categories. Second place for storytelling when to Michael Bylding, who won five hundred dollars and Claudia Flowers won third place and two hundred and fifty dollars in that category. Dillon Jones took second place, worth two hundred and fifty dollars in the comedy section and third place went to Leonard Mangar. Audience participation prizes were given to Jose Gabb and Dennis Peyrefitte. The event is a tribute to one of Belize?s foremost storytellers, the late George McKeasy and was held at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts. The Championship was co-sponsored by LOVE FM and the National Institute of Culture and History, NICH.
