Felix Brothers Will Stand Trial for Murder

Emory Felix

The Felix brothers, Maurice and Emory, will have to stand trial for the murder of Mark Gentle and attempted murder of Pamela Cumberbatch at the June session of the Supreme Court.  Gentle, the son of the deceased, Pamela as well as her husband, Calvin Cumberbatch were both shot on May twenty-fifth 2015; Gentle died ten days later on June fifth, 2015, but Calvin survived the incident and requested no further action.  A preliminary inquiry kicked off today and the brothers learnt they are to stand trial for murder and attempted murder against the son and mother. But charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm in respect of Calvin, were dismissed. And although they were represented, both brothers spoke to Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser expressing their concerns as well as frustration since they claim they are wrongly accused and the charges were trumped up against them by Pamela who placed them at the scene of the crime.

Maurice Felix

At the time, Pamela said in a statement, that Maurice and Emory Felix pointed firearms in her direction and then she heard gunshots.  Senior Magistrate Fraser noted that on the face of a bundle of documents from witnesses, a prima facie case had been established against the Felix brothers. The brothers got testy during the PI, but the Chief Magistrate explained that their arguments will be presented during trial at the Supreme Court.  Both Calvin and Mark were attacked as they socialized in front of their home at around seven o’clock.  At the end of the spray of bullets, both men had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Gentle succumbed days and Calvin recovered. Pamela was killed in a traffic accident on January second of this year.
