Miss Stann Creek is Queen of the Bay

Miss Belize may get better prizes, Ms Y may have more fun, but the Queen of the Bay is still the mother of all Belizean beauty pageants. Here’s a look at the big night.

On Saturday before a packed audience at the Belize City Centre the fifty-eighth Queen of the Bay Pageant took place. A total of eight young ladies representing diverse locales from Corozal to Placencia vied for the coveted Crown.

Although all the young women all looked like winners, by the end of the evening, only one would emerged as Queen of the Bay 2004? 2005. This is how it went.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, judges, her graciousness, Queen Sajira Sajia. The winner designated for Queen of the Bay 2004-2005 is–Miss Stann Creek, Sherima Usher.”

Sherima Usher succeeds outgoing Queen of the Bay, Shajira Sajia. Jacqueline Woods for News Five.
