Diana Locke is Newly Appointed Director of Immigration
There is a major change at the Immigration Department which has been persistently rocked by scandals involving the issuance of illegal visas and passports including the very public case of the former Minister of State Elvin Penner in the Kim Wong Hong debacle. Acting Director Maria Marin, who was the head of the department during this period, is moving over to another department as Director of Refugees. Taking over the post is Diana Locke, who you probably would recognise from countless diplomatic events. She leaves the Foreign Ministry after twenty-four long years of service as Chief of Protocol as well as Director of Consular matters. Locke assumes her new desk this Thursday and is expected to restore integrity to the department.
