Cayo woman wins lotto

While GOB, SSB, DFC and a long list of other alphabetized agencies are having their share of financial woes, there is one woman from Santa Elena, Cayo, who tonight is counting her new found cash. Irene August held the winning ticket in Saturday’s sixty-seven thousand, five hundred dollar Lotto draw…and today she claimed her prize.

“Every now and then when I go up to Cayo, I buy usually buy my ticket them for Wednesday and Saturday. Right now I di build up my house and I will continue building it up and I will put up some in the bank and finish send my kids to high school.”

August’s winning numbers were one, fourteen, nine, thirty-one, and twenty-three. Her ticket was a quick pick.
