Jones will run in 4×100 relay
Word out of Athens today is that Belizean Marion Jones has been selected to run on the U.S. four by one hundred metre relay team. She will take the second leg of the relay behind Angela Williams and ahead of Lauryn Williams and LaTasha Colander. U.S. Women?s coach Sue Humphrey told the press that she has seen no objective information that would make Jones ineligible to compete. Jones, however, has been the target of a wide ranging doping investigation and should she be declared ineligible in the future, there is the risk that any medals won in Athens could be taken away from the entire team.
