Dangriga robbery leaves victim hospitalised
Apart from those bones at the border, we are happy to report that there were no murders or shootings over the weekend…but one man was badly beaten during a robbery. The attack took place in Dangriga around ten-thirty on Friday night. According to police, around eleven that night they were called out to Southern Regional Hospital where they saw thirty-year-old Jose Dina Dias suffering from a large cut wound to his forehead and a bruise under the right eye. Dias told the authorities that he was walking on Front Street when six men approached him and started to beat him. Dias says after the men finished punching him, they took his wallet containing one hundred and seventy-five dollars. Dias remains hospitalized for observation. Meanwhile the police say they are looking for the suspects.
