Sand Hill man killed in hit & run

Tonight the police need your help to find the perpetrator of a hit and run accident that occurred just after midnight on Saturday Morning. Authorities say they discovered a young man, later identified as twenty-two year old Leopoldo Moralez, lying in the middle of the Northern Highway between miles eighteen and nineteen. Moralez had a head wound as well as large cuts to his right calf and foot. Moralez, who is a resident of Sand Hill Village, was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, but died while receiving treatment. Police are appealing to anyone who may have heard or seen anything concerning the incident to please contact the Crimestoppers hotline at 922.
