Paul Jex Jr. is Remanded for Rape of Burrell Boom Woman

More than six months after he was charged for a sensational home invasion in Burrell Boom, Paul Jex Junior is back behind bars, charged with rape during that same incident in December, 2015. Jex Junior had been charged with at least eight other persons for a robbery at the home of Sarkis Abou-Nehra. Abou-Nehra and his wife were out of the country when the men stormed the home, beat the watchman and one of them then raped the watchman’s wife. Tyrone Meighan was originally charged for the rape, but the charge was withdrawn after forensic material sent away for testing allegedly pointed to Jex Junior instead. The eighteen year old was remanded until July twenty-eighth, but he will be able to apply for bail at the Supreme Court.
