MIT Officers Accused of Opening Fire on Fleeing Vehicle, No Report Filed
There is also a curious case in the Rural Eastern Division’s jurisdiction, and it allegedly involves the elite Mobile Interdiction Team. What we do know is that there is a vehicle at the Ladyville Police Station, a black Montero Sport, with a bullet hole in it. The bullet which penetrated the rear of the vehicle was allegedly fired by the MIT after the Montero ran through a checkpoint somewhere between Ladyville and Gardenia. If it seems that information is very sketchy, that’s because it is. The MIT are denying the incident and haven’t filed a report, and the driver of the Montero is also not filing any report on the alleged shooting.
ACP Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“There is a report to that effect which was forwarded to the Professional Standards Branch by the Acting Commissioner of Police. We have not gotten any report from the individuals involved in this case as it pertains to that particular incident. Because of the fact that we found out that that incident may have took place, we reported that matter upward.”
Reporter
“Is it a fair conclusion that the Ladyville RED Police officers are not having productive engagement with MIT?”
ACP Edward Broaster
“I would not saying that we are not having a productive engagement with MIT. I believe that some procedures were not adhered to as it pertains to that incident.”

Again, BPD does not have a clue on how to do their job with professionalism and effectiveness,
