Husband attacks male friend of wife
An angry husband from the Corozal District is tonight behind bars after attacking one of his wife’s friends. According to police reports, on Sunday evening thirty year old Edith Rene Ramos was at home in Cristo Rey Village when he suddenly picked up a machete and chopped a male friend visiting his wife in the face. The victim, identified as thirty-one year old Manuel Choc, was rushed to Corozal Hospital for medical treatment. When the police arrived, they immediately detained a still livid Ramos and have since charged him with grievous harm, use of deadly means of harm, and attempted murder.
