SIM card may hold clue to latest murder
As the family of slain Belize City businessman, Nadir Husman prepare to lay him to rest on Sunday, police are still looking for a break in the case that will lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible. Today News 5 understands that while the police and family hotlines are receiving tidbits of information, there has been little progress in the investigation. Husman’s gun and cell phone are still missing, but the SIM card from the young man’s phone was found at the murder scene at the firing range at Salt Creek near Sand Hill Village. Police are going through his phone records to see if any suspicious calls were placed from the phone up to the time his body was discovered on Sunday night. As we reported on Monday night, the Husman family has put up a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of Nadir’s murderer or murderers. You can either call the Crimestoppers hotline at 922 or the family tip line at 227-2503.
