No clues in firing range murder
It was the kind of weekend that has become a staple on the Monday media circuit: Keen competition on the sporting field, first class entertainment on the stage and a morgue filled to capacity with the victims of murder and bad driving. We’ll begin with the murders. News 5’s Patrick Jones reports from the Salt Creek firing range, a place where bullets are usually fired at paper targets. On Sunday, however, the target was human.

Twenty-five year old Nadir Husman was shot to death on Sunday at the firing range in the Salt Creek area near Sand Hill Village, where he had planned an afternoon outing with his girlfriend.
Family members tell News 5 that Nadir came to the range around eleven-thirty on Sunday morning. But when he got here, there were too many people here and he left intending to return later in the day. Exactly when he got back is not known, and what transpired between midday and eight o?clock last night is also not certain, but his girlfriend became worried around mid-afternoon when Nadir did not answer her telephone calls.
According to Lisa Byford, Nadir?s girlfriend of seven years, he dropped her off at her parents home around eleven o?clock to deliver a Father?s Day card, and that was the last time that she saw him alive.
Lisa Byford, Nadir?s Girlfriend
?After half an hour passed and he did not come for me I didn?t worry too much because sometimes people get side-tracked. So at about two-thirty I called him from my parents and I got a voice mail. So that would lead me to believe that from about that time what has been done has been done, because I just got a voice mail. And I called again at about quarter to three and I still got no answer. So I called his brother?s house, thinking that they were together, because they are always together. And when I called his brother?s house I got no reply, so I was pretty much convinced that they were together.?
But by nightfall when Nadir still did not come home or answer his cell phone, Lisa went to his brother, Zakir?s house to enquire about her missing boyfriend. It was at that point that she asked Zakir to take her to the range to look for Nadir.

?When we reached–from we were driving in I saw light reflections, the reflectors on the vehicle; I saw it all the way from out there and I knew that was his vehicle. I knew it because nobody else would be back here in the night; nobody is crazy enough. So we came in and we stopped right about here and I saw Nadir lying on the ground motionless, not moving, and blood everywhere. The vehicle was facing this way and both doors were opened when I got here, and the seats are filled with blood. And the way I am thinking is that probably somebody shot him as he drove up here, didn?t give him time or anything, from the driver side and he was so frightened and probably tried to crawl through the passenger?s side and come around the vehicle. And there is lots of blood on the tailgate and the end of the pick-up. And I know that he didn?t reach that far because his tennis shoe is all the way on the passenger?s side of the vehicle up front.?
Nadir was shot at least eight times, with bullet wounds visible to the head, neck, and the rest of his body. At least one slug passed through the passenger side door of the pickup. The grieving girlfriend appealed to the public to come forward with information, no matter how insignificant they may think it is, that will help the police to capture Nadir?s murderer or murderers.

?We definitely need your help. This is something that the family can?t solve without the public. And I know that somebody knows; I know it, and I know that whosoever killed Nadir got hurt. I just know that for a fact and there is evidence to prove that. And the thing is that somebody must have seen somebody gotten hurt. Somebody must have gone to hospital or private doctor with gunshot wound. Somebody must have had scratches or cuts or something on them that they cannot really explain. And even if they have an explanation for it, it wouldn?t hurt for you as a neighbour or you as just somebody to call in and let us know what?s happening.?
Since we were told that the range is crowded, we know for a fact that there people were here yesterday. He would not exaggerate two people to mean crowded. There was a crowd and I know that of the people that were here shooting, they must have seen a black Nissan Frontier. It doesn?t even matter if you don?t know what type of vehicle, but you must have seen a black vehicle come in and turn around and leave. You can call us and let us know who all was here if you have nothing to be guilty about and nothing to be afraid of. We just need you to call.?
