Business house donates computers to police
While the police are trying to keep abreast of the criminals, the department today got a modest helping hand from the business community. Arun Hotchandani of the Mirage group of companies operating in the Corozal Free Zone this morning handed over a shipment of ten top of the line computers and peripherals to Commissioner of Police, Carmen Zetina. While the police department values the donation at forty thousand dollars, Hotchandani told News 5 that the financial aspect is the least important part of today?s gift.
Arun Hotchandani
?It’s very important that the business community take a very active role in participation to assist the police. The stabilization, the business environment must be very stabilized for local and international investors to come in. And I think another very important point is that the criminals are becoming very high tech. So I think it is our responsibility on the private sector to do our part. And I think my company, my brother Anil and my Mirage group of companies decided to make this contribution. I think this will serve as an asset to the police department to cooperate, to communicate with each other and also with the international partners.?
