Charge Against Ryan Rhaburn is Dismissed
Today, Panton’s client, Ryan Rhaburn, literally ran to Panton’s vehicle when he was told that he was free to go. Panton says he could have foretold the freedom, though he admits that it will very likely be short-lived.
Herbert Panton, Attorney for Ryan Rhaburn
“I am certain that they will come and charge him, and I have no problem with that. I had no problem with that on the first occasion. But all I am saying, lawd man yu dah dih Police force. Get yu ducks in a row. Get your act together. You know what is unfortunate about this? I want you to ask the Police if up to this second, any one of them has consulted the Director of Public Prosecutions. I want to know that fundamental question because they are playing stop and go, stop and go, stop and go…I have been between Belize City and Belmopan since the start of this week. They need to get their ducks in a row. I am sure they will come and re-arrest my client. That is not the issue here. But get yu act together. If you start to drive a pile and it leans from the start, what will happen when you build a house on it? That is all I am asking of the Police. Get your ducks in a row.”
